Team Collaboration:

Reporting to the Chief Anesthetist Officer, the Associate Chief Anesthetist Officer (ACAO) oversees and supervises assigned Sound Anesthesia programs in the Pacific Northwest and California and performs all CRNA administrative, supervisory, and educational functions relating to the anesthesia programs. The ACAO will partner with the Regional Medical Director, Vice President of Clinical Operations, and Sound Anesthesia Operations team members to deliver excellent client service and drive high-performing anesthesia programs.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Graduate Degree in Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) from an accredited program.
  • Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Must possess a valid and active registered nursing license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the applicable state(s).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Regional CRNA Director or similar multi-program clinical leadership position within an anesthesia group.
  • Must be actively practicing clinical anesthesia to maintain your clinical skills, stay updated with advancements in the field, and understand the practical challenges of providing anesthesia care.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling:

  • 50% administrative and 50% clinical time.
  • Covering Sound locations in the Pacific Northwest and California.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Responsible for supervising the chief and regional CRNAs to ensure that each program is implemented and continuously improved upon
  • Must have impressive leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent clinician with strong planning, diagnostic, and crisis management skills
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives
  • Ability to use various computer systems and applications
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff

Living and Working Locally:

  • Candidate must reside in one of the states they would be covering. Strong preference for the candidate to live in or relocate to the Portland, OR metropolitan area.
