My name is Steven Davidoff, MD.  I’m the regional medical director with Sound Critical Care for the pulmonary/critical care program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.  I’ve been a part of Sound for three years.   • Our team is comprised of practicing pulmonary/critical care physicians and APPs with a diverse mix of ICU clinical practice time.

  • Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has been serving the Plano community and surrounding communities for 30 years with full-service care provided by a compassionate and committed team of healthcare providers. The hospital has been ranked seven years in a row as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For and has received the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Designation.
  • Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is a 370-bed not-for-profit hospital.
  • We work within a 28-bed closed ICU with high-acuity patients.
  • We work in NextGen, with access to our internal informatics platform.
  • Full-time APPs work an average of 15 shifts per month block shift schedule.  We work together to manage the schedule as equitably as possible providing intensivists with a great work/family life balance.
  • PRN opportunities are available with no set monthly shift commitment and offer the flexibility to schedule shifts as available and based on program need.  Paid medical malpractice with tail coverage is provided.  No other benefits are included.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
  • Candidates should have a current, unrestricted NP/PA license and ICU experience as an APP.
  • Ideal candidates will have the ability to independently assess, examine, and provide care to critically ill patients in the ICU including procedures such as central lines, intubations, and arterial lines.
  • Within this role, an APP will manage medical and surgical ICU patients, present and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICU, and work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team.
