I’m the medical director for Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, located in Canton, Ohio. I have been a part of Sound Medical Group for one year. We have a new Acute Rehab program at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. We welcome interest from internal or family medicine physicians seeking a part-time Acute Rehab Medical Director opportunity. People
- We are a closely-knit, established team at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. We seek an Acute Rehab Medical Director to provide 20 hours per week of coverage. Our Hospitalist team provides backup as needed.
- Our providers come from places worldwide, including Palestine, India, the Philippines, and the United States (OH, PA, MI).
- We strive to collaborate with the facility staff to provide the highest level of care, minimize hospitalizations, and maximize the patient’s quality of life.
Practice
- We provide acute rehab coverage for 16- beds in the Acute rehab department.
- The acute rehab department is located at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. This role is a part-time position providing 20 hours per week coverage.
- The average census is 10-12 patients. Our hospitalist team provides backup coverage as needed.
- The Medical Director performs intake H&Ps, formulates and orders appropriate treatment plans, and interfaces with facility nursing and ancillary staff, patients, and families.
- There is limited on-call collaboration with the Sound hospitalist team.
- Part-time benefits include 10 days of PTO.
