We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine, OR Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ATLS.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Flexible Scheduling:

  • This role is for a nocturnist who will be covering the night shift
  • We offer an array of flexible scheduling options, including 12-hour shifts and consecutive days, allowing for extended free time.
  • Our emergency department provides single doctor coverage with an APP from 11 am to 11 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-quality patient care to a rural emergency department with 12 beds in an open ICU setting, seeing 16,650 patients annually.
  • Foster collaboration and support among team members.
  • Emphasize proper, careful, and safe patient treatment as a core focus.
  • Utilize advanced medical technology and handle transfers through the Convenant Transfer Center.
  • Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
