Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit group of 12 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
- Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
- We have a great relationship with our medical staff office; they are very efficient and helpful during the privileging process. We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible nurse practitioner.
- Hospitalist experience is preferred; hospitalist training is required.
Practice in the Hearth of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
- Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
- Shifts for the day position is scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; the night schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we’re out. We all have a common goal and help each other by switching shifts if someone needs a day off on their scheduled work week.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a day clinician, your responsibility will encompass rounding on approximately fourteen patients per shift and discharging when appropriate, while our night clinician will perform three admissions in addition to cross coverage.
- The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7. So, procedures or codes are not required.
- We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
- We use EPIC EMR and have access to our internal informatics platform.

- Compensation: Base salary between $142k and $150k for days and $155k and $160k for nights with opportunities for bonuses based on performance and growth.
