Hospitalist Opportunity at Long Island Community Hospital (Full & Part-time Available)

Long Island Community Hospital is a 306-bed, academic, not-for-profit community hospital located in East Patchogue on Long Island and serves twenty-eight communities throughout Central Suffolk County and includes the main campus, two community multi-disciplinary health centers, and centers for hemodialysis programs, home health, and hospice/bereavement services. The hospital is designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center and is in the process of opening a state-of-the-art cardiac care center, ensuring that residents and visitors will receive technologically advanced medical care in emergent situations.

  • An established team of 16 physicians, 2 advanced practitioners, and a clinical performance nurse
  • Teaching responsibility – IM residency program on-site
  • No call environment; No codes/RRT responsibility
  • Closed ICU; Intensivists & pulmonologists handle critical care matters and RRT (Hospitalists only do courtesy rounding in ICU)
  • Procedures experience is not required
  • Full & part-time opportunities available
  • Compensation: $292,000/year
  • Open to BC internal medicine trained physicians with 1+ years of experience
