The Team – The Hospital

  • New 180 bed hospital, Featuring 6 Neonatal Intensive Care beds, 12 Intensive Care Unit beds, a 38-bed Emergency Department including 8 Fast Track beds, and more
  • Established 6 Physician team with 2 Advanced Practitioners and Hospitalist RN
  • Complete sub-specialty support available
  • Emergency procedures performed by Code Team or Anesthesiologist
  • Open 12 bed ICU with intensivists available for consults
  • 7 on/7 off

Requirements of Advanced Practitioners

  • Perform evaluation and management services to patients requiring hospitalist services with the hospitalist practice
  • Develop treatment plans
  • Complete admissions from ED
  • Perform dictation of H&P examinations
  • Cross cover for the hospitalist team
  • Perform dictation of discharge summary and procedure reports
  • Write progress notes
  • Order routine and special laboratory studies
  • Write orders for inpatient and outpatient medicine
  • Perform such other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within NP/PA scope of practice


*** Current, unrestricted license in Texas. Will consider Family Practice or Geriatric Certification with recent acute care experience. Not open to new grads – ideally looking for candidate with minimum of 2 years with recent acute care experience.
