Sound Physicians at Shady Grove Medical Center is looking for a Palliative Nurse Practitioner to join its established team.

  • Established 22 physician hospitalist team, 1 Palliative physician and hospitalist RN
  • Cerner EMR
  • Monday to Friday schedule

Palliative Care NP will:

  • Work collaboratively with palliative physician and hospital staff
  • Responsible for palliative care assessment
  • Provide education to staff, physicians, patients and families

Successful Candidates will possess:

  • Master’s degree as a nurse practitioner or a completed post master’s certificate as a nurse practitioner.
  • Current Maryland license as a nurse practitioner, or eligible for Maryland licensure.
  • Certified Palliative Nurse preferred or willingness to apply within one year 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience required.  Palliative care experience preferred.
  • Be flexible and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills
